About

My name is Steph, and I live in Bury St Edmunds with my daughter Amelia and husband Neil. We spend most of our time together in forests, parks and gardens and our shared love of being outside has taken us all around the UK to find new places to explore. We are home educating our daughter, and most of our learning takes place in forests. They offer an incredible environment for holistic learning, muscle development, teamwork and a deeper understanding of the natural world around us. We enjoy spending time in the woods both in peaceful solitude, but also with a diverse range of friends and family, providing opportunities for socialisation, leadership skills, listening and problem solving. I am the founder of West Suffolk Hive CIC, an eco community centre based near Bury St Edmunds which focuses on outdoor education, wellbeing and the environment.

I am a fully qualified Forest School Leader and have a Level 3 Outdoor Paediatric First Aid qualification and an enhanced DBS certificate for working with children. I run and organise sessions at The Hive for a variety of ages during term-time.
I look forward to sharing some adventures with you and your family soon!
