Workshops and CPD courses
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
We offer our sincere apologies and hope to announce a new date soon. An evening of music around the fire led by Elizabeth Swift from Huathe, a Forest School Association endorsed trainer and Firechoir leader. The session will be hosted by Steph from Nature Explorers, who is a singing teacher and professional musician, as well as a fellow Forest School Practitioner. The session will begin at 5.00pm and will finish at 7.00pm Price £20 per person, payable by the 15th September 2019. Spaces are limited to a maximum of 15 participants and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Your booking is not secure until your payment has been received. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the workshop. Singing is a major feature of all Forest School settings, and we are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth to our site. We will be learning a variety of songs for singing outdoors, including some rounds. As well as being a fantastic community-strengthening activity, singing has enormous impact on mental health, and is a very effective tool in boosting your mood and helping you to relax. No previous experience required, and no one will be judging your singing. Come along to get inspired and release your inner voice amongst the trees in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. |
The course will be delivered at Bradfield Woods, a Suffolk Wildlife Trust site. There is access to a toilet immediately next to the site (accessible). The course will be delivered outdoors, but there will be access to shelter if the weather is particularly bad. If the weather is bad enough for the park to close, the course will be rearranged for an alternative date. This course is available for anyone to attend, not just Forest School Practitioners.
